  • We use a large cuisinart. Works great. I find it a cut above the cheaper models. It is heavy and stays on the counter when processing hard chunky vegs.
  • I have used the older stainless steel Vita-Mix. I wouldn’t suggest it unless you can get it for real cheap. The newer is certainly improved. I haven’t used the BlendTec / K-Tec so I can’t comment on it.
  • Much conflicting information out there. Nothing beats fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds They offer the most nutrients for the body. Cooking destroys many nutrients.
  • Extra virgin cold pressed Hempseed oil is raw.

  • Hi Hydrohawk, Beans and grains are generally raw (otherwise they would be marked roasted ie: Kasha is roasted buckwheat). You can test your grains and beans by seeing if they sprout. Steamed or heat treated grains and beans will never sprout. Chatf…

  • Make sure to use Organic Raw Coconut oil. Its solid at room temp. Some call it extra virgin premium or DME Direct, Micro, Expelling. Pure coconut oil keeps a couple of years without going bad. Smells good and tastes great.

  • Hi Pula, For really good and detailed instructions see sproutpeople @ http://www.sproutpeople.com/seed/bwgroats.html
  • Drying sprouted nuts and seeds ahead of time makes them really great to have when away from home. We often rehydrate them with a little water or fresh juice a few hours before eating them.
  • If it was Raw, unpasterized and low sodium it wouldn’t keep for so long in a closed bottle without exploding. As for Nama Shoyu, it is a raw liquid leftover from the fermentation of cooked soybeans. Not quite raw or wholesome either.
  • It seems in whatever approach to diet and health we are all in danger of extremes. One friend I had used these extremes to “balance” as he called it his health. He died young but he would certainly say (if he still could) that it wasn’t because of h…

  • This time of the year its Cross Country Skiing. I go out with my children for 1 hour each day. We are privileged to live in a rural area. Just need to snap on the skis and head out back into the woods. Going up some hills provides plenty of cardio w…
  • Dried sprouted sunflower seeds! Crunchy and tasty.
  • Thanks for document link.
  • It’ll still work but the butter will not keep as long as it would if the almonds were dehydrated.
  • Make it at home and you’ll be sure of what’s in it. You could sprout your own almonds, dehydrate them and then turn them into butter with a Vita-Mix or juicer with blank installed. Results: Truly raw & truly living nut butter. Enjoy!

  • Hi 123, I think the problem may have been considered “keyword spamming” because they have no direct relevance to this site. Anyways I have edited out the list of products that we carry. Those interested in our site can check it out to see what we o…
  • So Alix1962 If I understand correctly the problem was with the list of products that we carry which I had listed. I edited them out. Is that more appropriate?

  • We use coconut oil spread on sprouted flax crackers. We also have raw organic coconut flour available in Canada. Don’t know about other countries. It is leftover from the raw pressing of fresh coconuts for their oil. Still testing some recipes with …
  • Excellent website. Thanks for reference 123.
  • I’d be interested too. Always seen the kombucha mushroom growing in boiled black tea and sugar.
  • Has anyone every thought of starting a third party “Raw” certification organization like those that exist for Kosher, Organic and Vegan? These organizations are not perfect but when you purchase something with a certification logo on it you can be a…

  • I think if we use the Vita-Mix container only for cold and raw foods it should not be a problem. If one uses it with boiling hot liquids that could increase potential for contaminants to leach out of the polycarbonate into the food. Excalibur has an…
