  • I think a lot of people going from processed, refined, standard american diet, may feel better on "the blood type diet" but that's only because they are eating healthier than before, not anything to do with blood type. i'm type O and have never felt…
  • Just FYI, Larabars are not all raw. Go on their website and you will see.
  • I agree with the water suggestion and further suggest maintaining a high fruit and green and low fat intake for maximum health and ease. ;)
  • Hey, I'm making some things this weekend. (These are gourmet, not every day, so it's not good combining and not low fat) I am making the white tofu to go with the tomato salad with basil oil and pine nut parmesan. Also the tamales. From other books,…
  • I'm going to have to make some substitutions in the recipes to make it truly raw, which is kind of dumb in a "raw" book, but I am thoroughly enjoying looking through this and deciding what I'm going to make. Ihave to send this first book back becaus…
  • I went to Pure Food and Wine once at the actual dinner spot and a few times to the takeaway. It was good when I was a new raw foodie, but when you're seasoned and "clean," you can tell it's not all-raw and too fatty and uses too many spices, bad foo…
  • I know you said it's not ruining your life or anything, but then you talked about it for about 5 paragraphs, Chris. Your experience is relevant, of course, but not relevant to a definition of a word or phrase. I accept you and what has happened to y…
  • If you accepted others, why can't you accept a definition of a word and that people follow it? I think it would be best, yes, for your own peace of mind, if you accepted others and that you are not them, they are not you. I stand by that. You'd have…
  • Oh, your opinion is your opinion; that's for sure. I'm quite positive no one wants to change YOU, Chris. I think what would be best is if you accepted others and also accepted common definitions.
  • Geez, if I was the original poster, I might not ever come back. It's too bad that someone used the OP's thread to vent their frustrations. A raw foodist, by definition (look it up! if you have an issue and if you want to make a new word for yourself…
  • Just FYI, your frozen fruit may not be raw if you are not rinsing it in cold/warm (not hot) water yourself.
  • I recently found that High Vibe in NYC has raw irish moss. Haven't tried it in a recipe yet. Maybe I'll make the lemon pie for tomorrow.
  • It seems like it would be just fine w/o a recipe; just do basil, garlic (if you eat that), salt, oil, maybe some sun-dried tomatoes?
  • No, it doesn't hurt it; I think people love to converse with me about it. However, *I* for my own personal reasons would love to have more raw female friends.
  • I haven't been diagnosed with any disorders, but I believe all humans are what doctors call "bipolar".....I'm sure it benefits the docs to use that term more than my use of it here, to prescribe meds for you and make mroe money, but I digress.......…
  • Especially if you are seeking or with a partner, you should get off of that hormone-fluctuating drug! As soon as possible. And use glycolic toner for your skin.
  • I grind my teeth but have for many years, prior to raw. Otherwise, my teeth are fine. I will keep track if any problems arise that are seemingly due to raw versus raw&cooked (no junk on prior diet, all vegan and many greens), and I still floss d…
  • And just so you know, this only came up because YOU made a thread about it. I wouldn't have "pointed a finger" or known anything about your relationship otherwise. And yes, we only know your side and what you have told us; but you asked for our opin…
  • No, my boyfriend does whatever he wants to, and I love him and accept him, respect him regardless. Check out my comments and anything I've said about him. YOU have a problem with porn. That's fine. But your boyfried isn't you, and apparently, he doe…
  • Eh, never mind, I know some people will make this about porn, but good luck on trying to control what your boyfriend does.....and have fun with the phenomenal sex.
  • I don't think you should be in a relationship until you love yourself (not saying you don't, but please look at number 2, right here:) and YOU CAN ACCEPT THE OTHER PERSON FOR WHO THEY ARE. You are asking him to change his habits, you don't accept or…
  • 1.) Why do you eat raw? Health, nicer skin, more energy, better digestion. 2.) What are your thoughts about cooked food? Even vegan cooked foods I think weigh you down and are hard to digest. 3.) How does eating raw shape your identity? I don't thin…
  • Don't feel bad about yourself. Just incorporate as much raw as possible. and WITHOUT beating yourself up mentally, remember how cooked food(s) make you feel.
  • I would recommend a trial run if you want to do those time-saving techniques. We can only guess what would happen....and it might be different for each person, each recipe, each time, you know?
  • I never liked having blood taken but have no issues, vegan or not, raw or not.
  • Within a few days, my skin was clearer and more radiant. I also have 7+ years old keloid scars that were raised that are going away.
  • Yacon is NOT neutral. It's like a cross between brown rice syrup and molasses.
  • None. I was already fit and muscular to begin with.
  • You need to eat enough food, like fruits and vegetables. And weight bearing and resistance exercise. Absolutely have not lost muscle and don't eat nuts.
  • Looks like I might have weights of Irish Moss called for, so if you know a good rule of thumb using weights, that'd be most helpful. Or if you have 1/2 c. chia thickens X amount of water to make a pie filling, that's also wonderful.
