  • And silk powders in their makeup as well. They appear to like exploiting our insect friends! Which products do you use? I didn't look through them all. Even the brands I use, though, like jurlique, I have to sift through to find vegan ones. 100 Perc…
  • Some are vegan - just depends. I know they use beeswax and honey.
  • I recommend leafy greens and lots of fruit, regular exercise, and plenty of sleep. (As Mellie touched on) Dr. Hauschka stuff isn't vegan for a lot of their products, just in case anyone was looking into it.
  • Yes, you can have overts on 801010.

  • Do 1 oz. of hempseeds. Do you have a scale or way to get 1 oz?

  • If someone else called another person a name, yes, they sound like an insecure person. I stand by that, and that's not a personal attack.
  • Where exactly is a personal attack? Is there some phantom post somewhere that went missing by another person?
  • I'd be hard-pressed to understand how someone can call "veganism" a "fanatical obsession" considering I didn't have a hand in and wasn't a part of society's decision to harm animals and my decision to not partake is only considered "unique" due to a…
  • LOL. I like how feeling great and choosing a certain way of life is a "fanatical obsession....." to one person but an awesome way of life for another. Some of us find it easy to care for animals and not exploit them. Some of us find it easy to be ra…
  • If by "vegetarian meal" you mean vegan meal with no animal products whatsoever (and no made-up exceptions based on your own criteria), I would call you a raw foodist vegan, yes.
  • Fruits and vegetables do have protein. I read that carrot juice is 9% of calories from protein, which is perfect. I can't remember the grams, though. Apparently, some juices do have protein. Just read some labels or fitday-it.
  • Fruit has protein and fat, FYI. I would skip the bok choy and try more tender greens, maybe add some mint or an herb you like. Good luck!
  • Yeah, I have tried that hemp protein powder, it was equally gag-worthy. It ruins the taste of my fruit.

  • Sunwarrior protein powder tastes like ****. I'd rather eat fruit and leafy greens for my nutrients.

  • Thank you, I was just curious. I think the dried foods thing is a matter of getting too hungry and then wanting a concentrated source of calories (and/or flavor) fast. I don't think it has to do with nutrients necessarily. And I do think it's possib…

  • Are you eating salt?

  • "healthier" doesn't mean much to some of us. We want more than a comparison from one bad thing to a less horrible thing. It's not an obsession for me, at least. Can't speak for others.
  • That's nice of you, Kurite. Some people will choose to eat non-raw items, and that's fine, but it's not cool to be misled.
  • are you sedentary or something? i've never heard someone (aside from an eating disordered person) have such an issue over 2 cups of food, thinking it would "make" them gain weight. i'm showing buckwheat is 600 calories or so per cup. 8% of calories …

  • Dehydrated foods are dehydrating. Eat water-dense foods like fruit as your primary source of calories for better hydration, too.
  • I don't think buckwheat is as nutrient-dense or as healthy as fruit. But eat it if you like it. I'ts up to you. No one can make a decision for you. Check out fitday for more specific nutrient and caloric breakdown information.
  • It's my understanding that bleeding/shedding the lining is our body's way of getting rid of toxins. If you are otherwise feeling healthy and do NOT have a bleeding period, I'd take it as a good sign (your body is pure, no toxins). But I'm not an exp…

  • Actually, getting too much variety each day or each week is not healthy, as your body has a hard time digesting and therefore absorbing the nutrients from all those different types of foods.

  • Dr means fresh fruit, Sweet. Buckwheat is dried/dehydrated and not fresh, not recommended as a large part (or any part) of the diet.

  • Vinegar and oils would make me sick. But not sure in your case.
  • Calories in green juice would be low is what I can say. Calories in greens are low. Calories in carrots are higher than greens, obviously.
  • I don't see why a default position would be the violent/kill/death one, so that's what I think a case for meat eating should provide answers.....before a vegan one would.
  • Yeah, who would have known asking three questions (seeking "information") is "confrontation."
