  • To add: Admittedly it is the FDA who have dis-owned Stevia - the same company who suggest we all turn to aspartame, but still I just want to know of any know side effects especially as its still in plant form how I have bought it. And now I have jus…

  • Dehydrating doesnt neccaserily make something a carb does it? It just makes it dry and crispy. I think theres a lot of hype and confusion surrounding carbs.
  • Alexa, I thought your opinions were as valued and informative than anyone elses and were probing enough to make me think. :) Freewitheft: I think I will start a journal. good idea :)

  • Superfood 2: I am doing gluten free, though it may just ahve to be beans as I think Im allergic to grains(wheat at least), but I think having the occasional cooked beans isnt that bad.

  • Oh I'm sorry to have started this. Number One I know this a Vegan Forum, I am Vegan but I was also talking about eating something Raw and asking for help to stay on the path. It's not like I was saying 'Man, don't you love a big Mac!' - I know not e…

  • We always got rewarded with sweets at school and I very rarely remember ever being encouraged to have fruit and veg at school. If we had a hot meal we had to ask the dinner ladies permission to eat dessert - it was based on if we had eaten all our c…
  • Well I understand people who eat Raw Meat, because techincally the website doesnt specify Vegan it just takes the assumption most people are. Then again I understand even those with a S.A.D diet who are looking for inspiration, some people dont want…
  • Haha yes, the detox seen by going raw people see as a bad side effect of the diet!
  • ItVegan I'm glad you had the strength to say No, it's hard because you look ungrateful. But people dont seem to put Raw in the same context as other diets. If I was offered a peanut pie and I said Im allergic to peanuts - which I am, they wouldnt pu…
  • You know, I used to try 'deal' with people too. But honestly don't try. You shouldnt have to impress them and unless you were starving yourself to death or eating yourself to obesity they shouldnt be concerned or judgemental on how you eat. I wanted…
  • I'm not sure how true this is, but apparantly those Himalayn salt lamp releases..(I think its) Negative Ions, which remove or counteract those produced by TV's and Computers. They definitly do something, but for the techincal jargon I suggest google…
  • For me it is *any* type of berry; strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, acai berry, gooseberry, red current, black currents, blackberries (which grow free in abundance in autumn where I live) Incan berries, goji, mulberries (though possibly not concider…
  • Oh I'm Vegan so that's not a problem, I should have mentioned. I didnt realise Grains caused acid.
  • Does anyone know where I can buy online Young Thai Coconuts. They seem impossible to get in the UK.

  • In Holland and Barrett only the organic dreid fruit doesnt contain sulphur dioxide. I bought their dried organic apricots - sooooooooo much nicer than the orange rubbish. Plus more and more supermarkets do Agave, Hemp seeds and Holland and Barratt c…

  • Without insighting a debate, RawEverything, I've never 'met' someone who eats Raw meat, I'd love to know your views and why you decided on that diet. I am sincerely interested.
  • In regards to what RawEverything said, I have to agree. I work at a supermarket at its amazing how perfect they want to the fruit and vegetables to be. I even watched this show where they go abroad to the plantations with the workers picking fruit a…
  • Well I'm actually look I have quite good condition hair. It doesnt have a natural style but that maybe from heavy products weighing it flat. I havent cut my hair in 6 months and my ends arent that bad either. I have a dry flaky scalp (not VERY bad a…
  • Im contemplating then using Green People, their organic (all essential oils natural products) conditioner then, maybe even shampoo. Im going to see what a week or two does to my hair first.
  • You know, I hear people say Oh Raw is good for your teeth. But I eat sooooo much fruit it's unbelieveable, the acid I think will rot them away. But still, give me a pint of berry smoothie over a packet of sweets anyday. I am a sweet addict, luckily …
  • Also to mention: Chain Store Fashion, non-organic and unfair trade, example Primark..yes I'm paying
  • You know I can not stress enough eating seasonally. Not because I believe it to be the only way but because when things are in season they are so cheap AND usually organic. Let's face it how often do you see organic strawberries in decemeber and if …
  • FORGOT TO ADD: Raw chocolate please :P Kitty: Oh I've made them before...I ate them all myself. There amazing, but I want something to put in moulds. :) I've never tried apricots or goji in it before...*gets dreaming*

  • See, I agree. Because I do think Raw Food is good for me, and I admit at first I thought it would solve all my problems, but to be honest theres too many grains out there I love! Rice, quinoa etc. I think when people become obsessed thats when it be…
  • If I'm honest I don't think anything could help as much as simply eating the greens. 'Swishing' with them is not really taking in their nutrients. Drinking them will help strengthen teeth and gums. I'd try a organic, plant based toothpaste and mouth…
  • Well lets face it, if we were meant to survive it we'd have fur! Yet even some fur animals head south! Time for a holiday home in the sun! It would make sence that we arent supposed to live in cold areas too - we're not well adapted to it are we. Wh…
  • I'm like a cow, I must graze lightly through out the day lol. Big meals are Ok, but I keep eating soon after - its annoying since my work I cant eat when I feel like and my belly rumbles easily! I think maybe because when I eat light I eat things th…
