  • What You Ate Today

    Love this thread really interesting. Menus varies A lot each day some time simple smoothies or salad. Sometime I get into wraps with different fillings. I'm not totally raw .. today...marinated mushrooms and cashew cheese sauce. Lunch sweet potato and nut chilli. Tea marinated mushrooms avocado and almond butter filling and tomato marinated with cider vinegar and mint

  • Sick when eating cooked food

    Hi. Kundalita you said something about feeling like your body was lacking something which made u turn to the cooked food. I've had that experience lots over the years on raw.. My understanding.,not scientifically, is its can be carbohydrate/calorie deficiency. In other words just not eating enough. I think it's because raw food can be very satisfying but eating low carbs or low calories eventually will push your body into physical craving. I would find myself yo yoing between raw and then binging on sweet carby stuff like biscuits.... I never even ate them before raw! . It helped to include a few cooked sweet potato or pumpkin. Or make sure fat intake was high. Anna

  • Raw Buckwheat

    Hi all

    Thanks for reminding me how fab buckwheat is .I'm returning to a raw (ish aiming for 60-70%) diet after some years away.

    I used to make pizza bases  out of it .It was probably the only thing that ever came out of my dehydrator ok .If I remember it was a simple recipe along the lines of buckwheat /oil /basil bit of water and salt blend and dehydrate .

    morning buckwheat porrage on the menu for me tomos .
