Hm. I suppose items bump against each other in transit all of the time. Do you think it is any worse than that? I'm sure they are required to clean the machines (I hope!). That's a tough call though. If I were allergic to anything on that list, I know I would be avoiding the peanuts.
Many products have those warnings.
I believe it is to protect against being sued for allergies.
I wouldn't worry about it, unless you have allergies yourself of course!
I've been thinking about it, and if you wash them off that will probably further reduce any cross-contaminants. After all, a clean peanut it just a peanut, right?
