  • i use ground flax and chia seeds as an alternative to nuts. works great, still high in protein (and omegas)- but not quite as heavy/oily- at least so it seems to my stomach. :)
  • english muffin and omelette? do you have a raw recipe for these???
  • yeah- you’ll find it by googling…i think maybe a couple of tablespoons.
  • google chia seeds and you will find tons of info on this amazing, nutritios seed. i often grind them and put them in anything- dehydrated crackers, burgers, salad dressing etc. also- if you soak them in water about 1 part seeds to 10 or more parts w…
  • thanks lucy!!! okay- now- i am hoping that showme will let me know the results with the soyapower. i was only leaning toward that one because it allows a bigger nut proportion- in case i wanted that.
  • Thanks for the feedback. But- is the milk rich enough? I use a ration of 2.5 cups to 6 cups of water…so I would think the ratio you use would be not rich enough. Have you tried running another cup of nuts through? And is it strained we say how it co…

  • Hi, I too have trouble if I do too many nuts. I have an old ulcer that acts up. At the same time- I don’t feel right with too much fruit, and also have concerns about the raw diet dropping too low on calories. I have had good luck using a lot of fla…
  • So- is it true that even if it is labeled as “organic” kalamata olives- that they are still cured with lye? Hard to believe that they could be labeled organic if they had chemicals in them.
  • yes- i am having the same problem- my zucchini (after over 15 hours of dehydration at about 115 degrees) is like fruit leather consistency. was hoping for the crunchy chips that the person who posted the recipe wrote about. :(

  • Showme- I just talked to the Soyapower people and they told me that it is in the manual on page 5. You have to press the motor button 3X, then press start. Let us know if it works.
  • Lucy- it seems that only 1 cup of nuts would not yield a very rich milk (more water, less nuts/nutrients)- didn’t you find it to be watery? Can you try to put another cup of nuts through a second time? I think others have said that would work. Also-…
  • YES- it was supposed to be able to function without heat. I am going to call the manufacturer-and I would suggest that you do the same. That is a DRAG! If I were you—I would try to get them to refund and pay for your return shipping as it was suppos…
  • great! i am waiting on the edge of my seat! :)
  • showme- make sure you but it from the manufacturer if you want the $ back guarantee. everyone else charges a restocking fee, so even though the manufacturer is around $10-$15 more, it is worth it if you think there is any chance that you will want t…
  • hungry girl- some of the soy milk makers can be used without the heating function. for sure the soyquick, soyajoy (identical to soyquick), soyapower and soyabella can all do nut milk w/out heating. rawmama- thanks for the feedback on that maker. i t…
  • showme- i haven’t bought the machine yet- but if you look back on my prior posts- from my research it seems that the soyapower is best. also- it has a 30 day $ back guarantee (just have to cover shipping for return). it appears that this machine can…
  • rawmama- which nutmilk maker did you use? i don’t know what yaoh is-? couldn’t you mix the flavors and sweetener in afterwards? that is what i was thinking. let me know what machine you used and if you can answer the questions that i posted above re…
  • flinzz78- my life is very busy and i find that making nut milks is messy, and time consuming (also- a bit hard on my hands which i need to save for work- massage!). also—i have had 2 nut milk bags rip on me. the machine is only just over $100, the n…
  • jenny—what post september source for raw almonds???
  • 2 Life products has free shipping too—and I think the lowest prices that I found on the KTec.
  • i have the blendtec too (called ktec on my unit but same machine). i have never used the vitamix, but really like the ktec too. the only thing i wish were different is that the programs are a little confusing and i wish that there was a regular vari…
  • my understanding is that when the food is first in the dehydrator- it is wet and keeps cooler, after about an hour it is best to lower the tem to around 115 degrees. i have been told that to heat food slowly it is best to use some sort of double bro…

  • okay-just hot (or room temperature as would be more appropriate in this forum!) off the press-after talkiung to the sales reps of soyquick, soyajoy/soyapower, i have new information. first of all i found out that soyquick is identical to soyapower-s…
  • hmmm- that is interesting. i wonder if that is possible to do with the other machines (soyapower or soyabella) the soyquick seems like the nutmilk could be made rich enough—even by reducing the amount of water to 5 cups or so. so i still think this …
  • thanks for clarifying that! i like your self identification as a 2 dash lover. yes-somehow one just doesn’t always say what i want to say. i just tried out 2 dashes with a space betwen and it doensn’t work. so- i will have to do it this way- one das…
  • why does my post have words that are crossed out? is it because the sentence structure isn’t perfect? is there a way to get it to stop doing this?!
  • okay—so i am a little obsessed with this. :) new info-i just spoke to reps about the soyabella (which in fact can be used without heat for raw milks), soyapower and soyquick. the most important factor that makes the soyquick most desirable is that w…
  • .Lucy—I am pretty decided on this one also, but might wait to hear your review. I am also researching about the Soyajoy or Soyapower. I think they are the same company and seem like good ones too. Does anyone know of these brands?
