Bloody Mary soup

I haven't actually made up the recipe yet, but it is in the works for dinner. What inspired this...some VERYspicy(think wasabi) mustard greens I bought at the farmers market today. I was thinking a soup, and since tomato and celery are also on hand a Bloody Mary came to mind(liked the taste, never the booze in it).

Just curious, what other flavors or veggies would you assume would go well in this mix?

  • I LOVE bloody marys! I was thinking about making a virgin bloody mary green juice. I was going to use horseradish, dino kale, tomatoes, cucumber, lemon juice, lime juice, a few olives, zucchini, jalapeno, celery, and peppers, and salt. I think it will be awesome! Let me know how yours turns out.

    I find that if you add a half a red pepper to tomato soups, you get a much more appetizing color. I'd probably add a little garlic too, and pulse in some parsley at the end.
