This company is misleading a lot of people, i bought these nuts thinking they were raw for a premium over the normal "raw cashews" only to find out they aren't even raw. What scam artist. Here's an email I received from them after inquiring about there raw cacao and cashews,
How long does it usually take for them to start the drying process after picking? 1-2 days before drying occurs. And by below 118 do you mean they are set at exactly 118 or like 115 or 105 does it fluctuate but never go about 118?
Temp. fluctuates below 118 degrees.
And for your Really Raw Cashews is it the same drying temperature as the Cacao?
The cashews are steamed to remove the nut. The temperature of the nut is monitored while this process occurs.
Just thought i would give you guys a heads up, Doesn't sound truly raw too me...

I've never tried, but can you sprout cashews? If so, try to sprout them.
You can't sprout any nut, unless they still have the shell
well does the nut ever go above 118 degrees? Still sounds fairly raw to me. You have to steam the shell to get the nut out. So maybe thats as raw as a cashew can get?
According to several sites that market raw cashews, whole cashews with the bud still intact will sprout and grow. For my personal use, if it will sprout I consider it raw.

I've also been told you can't sprout sunflower seed and have it produce a green leaf unless it's still in the hull, but from personal experience, I know it can be done.
