Homemade Dehydrator ?

Has anyone made a homemade dehydrator? Do you have plans to share? Can you tell me of your experiences?

Well I'm in central america and I tried one once, and didn't worked out so good. For some stuff, yeah. But for bread and cookies, no.

It was kind of home made. Like a glass square and a metal box. We had to turn the glass each hour because there was some humidity, and there was not enough sun during the day to dehydrate good. I had to use the oven sometimes.

I thing if you have more money, you can easily do a solar one, and could word good.

I was thinking of building one with a low wattage lightbulb and a mini fan to keep air circulating. I just can't bring myself to buy one. Too expensive and cheaply made. It's a glorified tupperware container with a fan! I am confident I can build one. I would like input from others who have built one.
