New Deydrator - Advice?

I just received a new Excalibur 5 tray dehydrator today - yay! Any advice for a first time user??

    Get cooking!! Lol

But, seriously, I wouldn't leave it on overnight the first time I use it.

Also, I usually dehydrate everything at 120 degrees for the first hour, and then I lower the temperature down to 105 degrees.

Whatever you make, fill up the empty sheets to make dehydrated bananas. They are soooooooo yummy and easy. Just slice 'em up and throw them on the trays if you have extra space leftover. Dried bananas are my favourite candy substitute.

    Yay how exciting!

I would say watch your dehyrated things to make sure they dont get overly crispy. And i second Laura-Jane's suggestion of banana chips - they are scrumptious!

Other easy and tasty recipes are onion bread, flax crackers, and corn chips. But really, it's such a fun toy...and even something you mess up at first will probably be worth eating.
