In June of this year, I did a 12 day Master Cleanse and it was the best thing that I have done for my body. Following the cleanse, I decided to keep drinking the lemon cayenne drink in the morning for breakfast. Over time, I develop a real taste for the cayenne and got up to one heaping teaspoon in my morning mixture ot two lemons, 4 TBSP maple syrup and 8cups of water.
Here's my problem. About a month ago, I had this excruciating pain in the middle of my abdomen that bent me over, had me hyperventilating and sweating with pain. It last about a minute or so, then passed. This happened again about 4 weeks later and more recently but both times have been milder than the first time. I started to notice that it is always mid-morning and I think it might be related to the cayenne.
Has anyone had any negative experiences with cayenne pepper? Could I be overdoing it?
