Just curious.

Honestly, I'm not trying to be judgemental. This is truly a question I ask out of curiosity.

Why are people very specific about their nut milk bags?

I use a clean rag that's like t-shirt fabric, and it works perfectly, but I've never seen any suggestions like this.

Is there something wrong with using simple fabric like that?

I use squares of muslin fabric which after use I rinse then stick in the washer with all my clothes so Im not particular! One square is actually two layers stitched together and zig-zagged round the edges, that is my posh one, the others are just large scraps.
