Which dried fruits make the best sweeteners?

Lately I've been trying California prunes, mission figs, and apricots. I like the figs because they plump up in water in just a short amount of time and blend effortlessly.

Has anyone tried raisins?

What's your favorite to use?

    Raisins work very well in anything with chocolate. I use dates and figs too.
