Ok, so I never thought I would embark on this one but am giving it a whirl. I am going to try to do one week. Originally it was supposed to be Mon-Fri but my friend tossed in the weekend...eek! I can see how this could be quite expensive. I read it would be about $100/wk. Didn't think that would be the case until I went shopping. I bought for half the week and it came to $48. WOW! It came out that much because I doubled the content of the recipes I saved thinking I might be starving if I didn't. Whether or not I need to drink all of it, I don't know.
This morning I made myself an awesome Immunity Drink
3 large celery
2 garlic cloves
1" piece ginger
When I did the calorie counter it came out to about 344calories and 600ml juice. Now of course all the fiber was removed so I don't know how much the calories were reduced by.
Since I'm working I had to make my lunch juice this morning as well...hope that doesn't get funky!
I made some "Sweet Green Juice
1/2 cup parsley
2 large celery
1 inch of fresh ginger
When I did the calories for this one it came out to about 356 and 700ml juice. Again, no clue was the calories were reduce by.
I thought it would be important to add up the calories because I do not want to wind up with too little. I'm a runner and I exercise so I do not want to be low on energy.
ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE DOING A JUICE FEAST RIGHT NOW?
