Hey guys,
I've been lurking on and off for while, and decided once again to try to go raw. I've been eating a bunch of really poopy foods lately (fast foods, fatty foods, fast easy horrible for you foods) and wanted to do a detox/cleanse before trying to incorporate more raw foods into my life. I understand that to get all the vitamins and minerals that you need, fruits AND vegetables are required. However, I got slightly confused when reading in a juicing/detoxing book about eating primarily vegetables to maintain an alkaline pH (where fruits will give a more acidic pH due to higher sugar content). The last time I tried to go raw I ate lots of fruits. I'm just a bit confused and any help would be appreciated.
P.S. I've been a vegetarian on and off (on for over 2 years now) for about 10 years, so I love fruits and veggies (and carbs... my weakness) I just would like some insight.
Thanks,
Cat

Thanks powerlifter, it just seems like there's so much contradicting formation out there; it gets confusing.
