Raw Dairy for Children

I was reading Frederic Patenaude's book where he talks about how when children are raised on 100% raw, after a few generations children start being born with birth defects. Frederic did mention that someone had managed to raise generations of healthy kids by adding raw dairy to their diet. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I'm worried about this because I want my little boy to grow up healthy, but I don't want to feed him lots of nuts, which is also unhealthy. Trying to find something that gives him enough calories but still keep the diet healthy.

  • Good for you that you want to raise your children the best way possible! I personally am a huge fan of RAW dairy. Now I don't have children but I do give my doggies raw milk and drink it myself. The homogenized pasteurized stuff is fake! (Among other unhealthy things.) I guess the most practice question is: "Can you find raw dairy near where you live?

What would be the purpose of raw dairy in your child's diet? What would it add that fruits and veggies (and breast milk, if you're still nursing) couldn't provide, other than calories?

"So eat always from the table of God: the fruits of the trees, the grain and grasses of the field, the milk of beasts, and the honey of bees." This is what Jesus said in The Essene Gospel of Peace book 1, and I try to follow it. I don't have to try hard with the raw milk (goat milk, when I can get it) because I love it. I tend to overdo everything I like though and I'll chug down a half gallon in one sitting.

My teens love it too, and my son begs for it. They like it blended with raw honey or agave. It is really good for you, but of course the main focus should be fruits and vegs.

Also, on the rare occasion I'm near a store that carries raw cheeses (New Season's has some yummy raw sheep cheeses) I grab a hunk for a snack.

I think a little here and there would be great for a child (if you get it from a trusted source) and would be an awesome treat.

  • I'd like to know when and where a few subsequent generations of raw eaters have been observed. What's Frederic Patenaude's source for that statement?
