Hair Question

Has anyone naturally colored over previously chemically treated hair? I have professionally highlighted hair (and box color) that I’m letting grow out—should I just cut it all off or is there something that I can do naturally so that I don’t have all this outgrowth? (I’m going to not shampoo and just use water rinses in the meantime.) I’m up for any/all suggestions—thanks!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I’ll try the henna product before I jump to shaving it off.
