New here and to raw!

Hi all! My name is Rhiannon. I live in the VA,DC,MD area. I am part of Buffmother.com where I met a raw “buffmother”. I am interested in learning more and giving this a shot. I think this could totally change my life. So, earlier, I wanted to make some kind of shake, but since I hadn’t gone shopping, all I had was apples and carrots. I blended these all together with some water. I was hoping to make it more “drinkable” but it was still good. I would love to get the Vita-mix. Costco has it, but I just can’t get it right now. Does anyone have suggestions on how to make my drinks more drinkable? I look forward to getting to know all of you!

    Congrats on going raw! You don’t need a vita mix a blender is just fine.

    Try using orange juice+spinach which is creamy and delicious.
    Or use a banana as your base as it will always go creamy, and add any soft fruit including apples. Also you can add nuts like pine nuts to thicken and make it creamy. Avocado also makes things creamy, but be sure to use dates or another sweetner.

    If you have a green smoothie once a da after a few days you’ll naturally feel like eating more and more raw food. Green smoothies are life savers!
