I live in an area of Michigan that has few sources for health-food. The closest vegetarian emporium is 35 miles. I have come accustomed to shopping online at amazon.com. With the “Free Super Saving Shipping” items are cheaper for me than purchasing at the store. I get raw agave $2.50 cheaper! I do have to buy six bottles at a time. But, everyone in my household uses it. That’s like a six month supply. I find local farmers markets during the summer, and only shop a maximum of once per week to reduce pollution and fuel costs. But, on the other hand, UPS does much transporting to deliver those raw goodies to me at a deal. I don’t know which is worse. I just try to do my best in area I live within. Eating raw and being sustainable is my long term goal. I don’t plan on living here forever. I do hope to position myself somewhere I can easily purchase locally grown produce. I must finish college first and develop a financial plan for relocating. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
thanks for the info… I have just always been a little worried about ordering food online.I need to get over that! I wander if I would get the same benefits from eating fruits and vegetables from walmart as I would anywhere else?
although i no longer live in michigan, there is a beautiful, family-owned co-op in waterford that got me on the road to life. it’s owned by a father and daughters and, unfortunately, i’ve forgotten the name of it because it’s been 2 years since i[ve been there but when you find it, you’ll know it.
