nuts to nuts

I am new to going raw, and in my research it seems that a majority of the recipes call for nuts. I am allergic to all nuts so it’s not something I can add – can I substitute seeds or grains in place of nuts? Thanks!

  • That’s exactly why I don’t do many gourmet recipes—except more to moderate fat than anything else. Seeds will do—hemp, sunflower, pumpkin, poppy, sesame.

Zuchinni makes things creamy, so do some other veggies—experiment!

  • Are nuts really raw or are the cooked?

Sweet, there's a good article that I found on Google titled "What every raw fooder should know about nuts" if I'm not mistaken. It's an article that lists near all nuts and then comments on the standard procedure to get them from nature to the state in which we would buy them.

  • sh-yeah, seeds are more alkaline.

    almonds are +1.3 alkalinity

    pepitas are +5.4 alkalinity

i'm currently transitioning off of roasted almonds to roasted pepitas,

then i'll be hitting up the avocado.
