freezing dates?

I just received my bulk order of wonderful, delicious medjool dates (11 lbs) from a small, family owned/run organic farm and was wondering if it’s ok to freeze them?

Yes, I always do. Thet stay soft that way- if you just leave them out they will get hard even if they are kept in a bag.

Thanks! I’ve had bad experiences with drying out in the fridge too. I think I have enough for the year, so wanted make sure to store them well.

How quickly do they go bad if I just leave them in the pantry?
