Nama Shoyu

I was wondering if there was any known type of nama shoyu that is free from salt? I’ve been looking, but no such luck!! I’m hoping there is something out there even a salt-free miso would help. I’m not a fan of salt and since I don’t eat it when I use nama shoyu my gums get very irritated…and that is not fun!

    These things are soy that is fermented in salt. I doubt that you’ll ever find a salt-free product.

  • Yeah, that was kind of my guess. I was hoping I was wrong though since kim chi is known to have salt and there are companies out there who have been making it salt-free these days. Bummer.
