Raw dates but...

Hello everyone! Ive been enjoying raw dates from the arab local market and they seemed pretty cool to me until I discovered one of them with a strange powder in the middle of it, it smelled like flowers and it was sweet, looked like powdered sugar… anyone has seen something like this? I dont buy their figs because they put a strange glaze over them… Thank you!
