Lucy... and other bread makers

Lucy, I was just looking at the onion bread recipe and you said that you make it with carrot. Do you use all carrots and no onions? Do you use carrot pulp or shredded carrot?

I love the onion bread but I want to make something that is not quite so strong tasting. Anyone else have a good bread recipe that is not spicy like onion, but not too sweet either? And not too dry either…

  • Hi Pam,I made only with carrots,and also with carrot pulp and both were great.I made only with zucchini too and was delicious. I think that I will make the next one without any vegetable,but I will divide 1/2 C sunflower seed and 1/2 C sesame seeds and 1C flax seeds,salt or braggs and olive oil.I think that will be great with Hummus and tomatoes.

    We make delicious onion and carrott bread which is just thinly sliced onions, with an equal amount of shredded carrots and flaxseed batter (soaked flaxseeds blended with water until like batter) It is really tasty,easy and cheap!
