Backyard Apple Trees

So after all the great responses I got for my red ant remedy (which worked), I thought I might inquire about my apple trees.

I have two in the backyard and every year I get loads of apples, but they are mostly very spotty/wormy. Wondering if anyone has any tried and true organic methods to keep the bugs away and help me save money in the fall on produce. Thanks again gonerawers!
