BUCKWHEATIES/BUCKWHEAT BERRIES/BUCKWHEAT SEEDS

Okay, i’ve been wanting to make “buckwheaties” and “rawce krispies” for a while now but i’m having a hard time finding what some people call “buckwheat berries”. I found unhulled buckwheat seeds from naturalzing.com Is this the right one?? Where do you get your buckwheat berries from?? I checked my local natural foods store and couldn’t find them anywhere! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

  • raw buckwheat has a greenish colour and roasted buckwheat is brown. If you’re unsure if its the right kind when you buy it, you could just get a small amount and try sprouting some; it only takes about a day to sprout them.

I’ve pasted a link to sproutpeople, it has a picture of what groats look like: http://www.sproutpeople.com/seed/bwgroats.html as well as sprouting instructions.
