I’m new to this board

Hi! My name is Melissa. I’m 47. Today I am starting a raw vegan diet. I did this diet between 2005-2009. Around 2008-2009 I was a 100 percent raw vegan. I lost 80 lbs and looked the best I ever have looked. I have fibromyalgia and Hadhimoto’s disease and diabetes and endocrine disorders. I’ve read that the raw vegan diet helps with fibromyalgia pain. Right now I take pain meds and a muscle relaxer that doesn’t quite help with the pain but it is better. I’m also 402 lbs. I would like to see if this helps with fibromyalgia pain and also help me lose weight. Last time I lost weight I did it for a boy. I’m doing it for me now. Last night I quit cooked food and also quit smoking cigarettes. I know this is a lot of change overnight but I just want to end the addictions. I’ve tried cutting back and tapering off and I always find a reason to go back. I want to lose this weight. I want to feel better. I want to look better. I want to be able to walk far distances again. I had food addiction issues which is why I went back to cooked food. I also ate a lot of meat. I’ve tried things like keto and other meat based diets but my body never stops hurting. My weight is so big that I have issues either going on far walks and need a wheelchair to go far. This feels like my last ditch effort to save my life and get a normal life back. I also was a coffee addict too and am quitting coffee. Here for support, guidance and to also meet others who are on the journey.
