What can be done with beans?

Hi, Any suggestions on how to incorporate sprouted beans (mung, kidney, etc)? The starchy bitterness is hard to overpower even with powerful spices. Kind regards, Rosanna


  • From what I have read, it is not good to sprout and eat kidney beans. I remember someone posting this on this site not too long ago. As far as mung beans, I use mung bean sprouts and wrap them with some shredded carrots, cabbage, zuchinni, and cucumber in a lettuce leaf. Dip in raw “peanut” sauce (made with almonds) and you have a tasty raw spring roll!

  • I love them in salads, if you cover them with alot of a good raw dressing, you can barley taste them, and they add a nice crunch. Also, if you blend them with alot of garlic, paprika, lemon juice, cumin, and apple cider vinegar, it is a pretty good dip for veggies, or your fav. raw cracker! I love sprouted beans now, but they had to grow on me.
