Cactus Mucoids

I love to eat cactus.

..and what do you know, it happens to also have some great health and nutrition benefits too!

BUT I heard in a different topic, that its not good to digest high producing mucoid-type foods

does this apply to cactus? or is the mucous in cactus, a different type of some sort?
