Can Coconut Water result in weight gain or water retention??

I ask this having been virtually 100% raw for the past year and half and slowly putting on weight in the beginning. So you can imagine my surprise a month or so ago when I found that I had suddenly gained 15lbs and 2 inches on my waist and 2 inches on the hips. I was trying to think of what I had done differently diet wise in the last couple of months- and the only thing I could think of was I was buying coconut water rather than plain water more often, eating a couple nights late in the evening to make up for not eating much earlier in the day. The last thing I thought about is I had finally done a complete intestional cleansing program a couple months ago and it was after that that I put on the weight so I thought perhaps my body is finally catching up with me. I should mention I have noticed I have experienced a couple instances of pain in the liver area after drinking coconut water. Let me know your thoughts.

  • Do you eat a lot of fats? If so- try and cut down. That’s all I can think of… Your body is a perfect system and as long as you put the right things in, you should maintain an ideal weight.
