mold in Kombucha?? Help

Hi

I followed the Goji kombucha recipe and there are now ( a few days into closet culturing) specks of mold on the top of the tea and the mushy is in the lower part of the jar just hovering. Also when I transferred the mushy to the big jar of cooled tea it broke apart as the top of the jar it was in was too small could that have killed it? Do I have to dump it all or is there some way to save it?
