Garlic smell and blendtec pitchers

steviostevio Raw Newbie

Whenever I make a recipe with garlic in it (like hummus or spinach soup) my blender pitcher smells of garlic for days afterwards no matter how many times I wash it. I don't put it in the dishwasher, just soap and water at the sink.

Anyone else have this problem, or a good solution?

  • Maybe try blending some lemon peel with water in it. It might help.

Try some plain white vinegar. I buy it buy the gallon for cleaning. If it's a serious smell you can throw in a bit of baking soda too but let it finish foaming before you run it.
