Water fasting one or two days a week forever, instead of doing a longer one every now and then is a good idea for consistant good health.
Water fast 1 or 2 days. Make sure you drink plenty of water. You can fast from sunset to sunset. Or skipping a day (or 2) of breakfast, lunch, dinner. I have never done a 3 or more day fast unsupervised.
I never heard of an orange juice cleanse. Usually, if you do a juice fast, you don’t pick acid type foods like oranges or tomatoes. I’d be curious to learn more.
For what reason are you fasting? (what results are you looking for) I did the Master Cleanse for 14 days and maintained a high level of energy throughout the entire fast. I also worked out 1-2X daily. A caveat about the Master Cleanse is that one ingredient in the “lemonade”, maple syrup, is not truly raw. I used this fast to assist my detox and felt it helped a lot. I hate to be utterly icky, but seeing all that mucus waste coming out of my body felt great knowing that it was no longer lining my intestines. I second the vote for the master cleanser. I did it for 10 days six months ago and have been raw ever since. That is, turned raw from a place of eating a moderately better, but still SAD diet. I’ll be vote #3 for the master cleanser. I’ve done it a few times for varying lengths and it has greatly helped me to detox and make the transition to raw. I feel even more better each time I do it. And I feel great while on it as well.
i have done a 10 day juice fast. i believe this is better than the master cleanse and just the water cleanse because while drinking only juice, your digestive system shuts down after 3 days (as there is nothign for it to digest because ur drinking pure juice with no pulp) so once it shuts down it can take all that energy it used to digest your food for repairing and eliminating harmful toxins from ur cells and blood. while it is doing all of that you are drinking at least 3 36oz of juice a day which helps nurish your body while it is repairing damaged tissues, cells .. etc

i strongly believe that juice fastign is the best way to go, water fasting does not replenish with vitamins .. only water, and the master cleanse does work it once again does not replenish with nutrients.
