I have done lots of raw camping! Last year I did a raw camping Thanksgiving for about 10 people, it was so much fun. Onion bread is excellent for camping because you can make sandwiches, or use it as pizza crust. I took nut milk and buckwheaties for breakfast. I made some soups, brought them in plastic bottles and heated them very gently in a pot of warmed water. I took raw corn and just ate it as is, it is also good with a little lime and chili powder. Hummus travels well and is good with the onion bread or celery and carrots which travel well. Hmm, I could go on and on! Matt Amsden's apple cookies are the perfect camping food. Look for "pulled pork" recipe here,it would be good for camping and would travel well.
There is at least one other thread on this topic from a couple of months ago (maybe a little longer). You might try an Advanced Search (Forums) using the words camp and hike as the search terms. If I remember correctly, there were some pretty good suggestions in there.
Just in case the site and its search features are new to you, here's the link to the Site Use Tips and Hints thread.
Thanks so much everyone! We made a ton of yummy food (way too much!) and had a blast.
Last time I went camping I brought tons and tons of fruit and just ate like a total pig. Haha, it was awesome.
