upset tummy

Hi there,

I have been incorporating raw into my diet slowly over the last month or so. Yesterday i only ate raw fruit(apples,coconut), veg (broccoli, peppers,mushrooms,saukraut,carrot,cabbage,tomato), a little raw chocolate and some seeds and dried fruit, which is quite a bormal day for me but for some reason this morning i had an upset tummy, very liquid stool, kind of fluffy.........bad stomach pains too. Reminds me of when i had ibs last year. Just ate some live yoghurt and a banana to try and see if that would help.....

I realise this much fibre will have strange effects...do you reccomend a juice diet for a few days? Im on holiday for another week but could do it when i get home? Any help would be great, thanks!

  • Some vegetables are actually harder to digest raw than they are slightly cooked. Broccoli and cabbage are included in that category. If you aren't 100% raw you might try steaming your broccoli before you eat it. I've never had an issue with raw cabbage, I eat it all the time but I rarely eat raw broccoli, it can be really tough to digest.
