Sprouting Rocket seeds

Has anyone had experience of sprouting rocket seeds?

I have had great success with Mung Beans, Alfalfa, Radish, Broccoli & Lentils, but not getting very far with Rocket. After a day in the sprouter, a jelly like substance forms around them, making it hard to drain. A few start sprouting, but after a few days there appears to be no more growth and a horrible smell coming from them.

I'm using a home sprouter, similar to the biosnacky:

Any ideas?

Hm. Maybe it's the seeds. They could be harboring some sort of fungus. I would try again with a different batch.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I've had some success now by using a small number of seeds in the sprouter and reducing the amount of watering. After the first couple of days, the slime starts to appear and then I just sprinkle a bit of water over the sprouter and a swill it around rather than letting it drain through. They grow quite slowly compared to most seeds that I've sprouted, but are worth the wait!

I'm glad to hear they're working out. smile All good things with time.
