Living vs. raw foods?

I’ve been hearing more about living foods lately and am wondering – is this something different than raw foods?

  • “Living foods” seems to imply that no animal products are involved, as you might consider them “dead.” Raw foods might include meat or dairy that isn’t cooked.

Raw is in its natural unprocessed state. Living tends to apply to things such as something that is sprouted (as it is “living” but can still be considered raw. OR, some things such as miso and namo shoyu are “living” but they are not raw. There is a processing to some degree, so it’s not raw (means unprocessed), but living can mean it has fermentation as an example. It’s still beneficial to your health and very close to raw.
