I recommend trying your local farmer’s market. In upstate NY we have delicious wine made with few pesticides – many are vegan wines, too. Many varieties are vegan, and some are made with raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and so on!
InEdensBliss, I feel your pain. Barefoot is by far my favorite too, but not only is it not organic, it isn’t vegan either (if that is an issue for you). :-( I’m still on the lookout for a good replacement, and if I find one, I’ll be sure to let you know! I had Frey once…it was fine, but I wasn’t won over.
i don’t know much about the company, but bonterra wines are organic and i have had the cab, the merlot, and the chardonnay, and i was pretty pleased with them for what they cost. i found them at sam’s club, but i think i’ve seen them other places as well. not too expensive if i remember correctly, maybe 10-12 bucks a bottle which i thought was pretty reasonable.
