What are Chia seeds used for. Benefits and other attributes if anyone knows that specific information would be helpful. I have heard about them but never have added them to any of my meals. I am willing to incorporate them into my diet and begin eating them just curious of what the health specs are.
I get mine from Raw Living.eu Kate woods website, I think it was about 3.55 for 100 grams - around that price.
rawgreens for me, they are little seeds which are very rich in omega-3, calcium, protein, antioxidents, fibre aswell as some vitamins and minerals.
Being that there rich in omega 3 they are very good for heart, brain, joint health:).

RawGreensForMe, I love chia seeds, you can make some tasty 'puddings' with them.
My current fav is this:
Blend the following ingredients....
Small handful of nuts (any kind is fine but hazelnuts work well)
Couple of dates
Tsp carab powder
3/4 cup filtered water
Vanilla extract (optional)
Whisk 2-3 Tblsp chia seeds into above mixture and leave to set in the fridge overnight (or as long as you can wait!!)
It's so lovely I'm currently having this daily.
Angela Stokes has a very informative 'cheat sheet' on chia seeds. Just Google 'Angela Stokes chia seeds' and you'll find it.
Hope this helps.
Hi Terra the cheapest place I have found to buy QUALITY RAW CHIA is from
www.buychiaseeds.info
These are good raw seeds which are posted first class .
Their is also a lot of information on their web site.
Their is no difference between Black and white chia/salba seeds its all in the name. The qualitiesof these seeds are very similarand is just one has a patented name and is more expensive. Enjoy chia seeds I use them everyday for running and I have used them for weight loss in the past with good success ( loosing 2 stones in two months).
