Will freezing make almonds unsproutable?

Looking to purchase some truly raw, unpasteurized, unfumigated almonds. But the vendor I'm looking (Farmer Al) at freezes his for 48 hours. I understand why he does it, but I am wondering if it makes the almonds unsproutable?

I don't want to buy them if they are unsproutable.

Wht does he freeze them? Does he know it they sprout?

If the almonds are completely dry when they're frozen, they're still "alive." I've kept seeds in my freezer that I later successfully grew into plants. I would have no qualms about buying almonds that had been frozen.

However, if you soak seeds or nuts and then freeze them, they won't be able to sprout any more, though I'd think they'd still be edible if they're consumed promptly.
