I don't have hypothyroidism but I can say that you don't have to eat cruciferous vegetables to be on a raw diet. I don't. I eat mostly fruit, lettuces, some nut milks, lots of wild foods. crufierous vegetables aren't the only nutrient rich foods out there. abundant fruits, nuts, lettuces are loaded with nutrients.
you don't have to avoid cruciferous veggies if you don't want to. kevin gianni did a great segment on this.
i have hypothyroidism. i am on the synthetc meds and it seems to be under control. i also take herbs for it.
I just checked out the youtube post--really interesting.
So what herbs are you taking, and do you take extra iodine so that eating cruciferous vegetables aren't an issue for you?
I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I am on thyroid medication because my body will continue to attack my thyroid until it is completely useless. I do not make any dietary restrictions due to my thyroid condition. I do know that people with basic hypothyroidism have 'cured' themselves of this on a raw food diet!
I know that angela stokes has hypothyroidism and has some ideas on her site raw reform. she doesn't take synthetic meds anymore.
