  • I never did find a way to target select areas. The fat comes off where it wants to come off.
  • It can't hurt to try. Our bodies are pretty amazing when it comes to healing. I was chemical sensitive for years. I couldn't even go near a dryer sheet without feeling ill. Now I could probably roll around in the things (not that I would) and be fin…

  • Interesting :) How do you use the clay for a spider bite? Topically?
  • Check out the savory recipes on this site. There is something for everyone. A lot of raw recipes are about changing the texture, flavor, etc. of the ingredients, so you should be able to find a few for any palate.
  • Henna is great. Semi-permanent vegetable dyes are great. Lemon in a spray bottle with a little water works okay for lightening if you have eternal patience and apply it frequently.

  • hellen said: let's throw it away because it's rotten.  Agreed, especially if it's an old coconut or something is clearly not right with the purple (like the slimy one mentioned before).

  • It's definitely a blender for me too. I need quick access to smoothies.
  • Yikes! That sounds like the worst purple coconut experience ever!

  • I'm dedicated to chai tea. I make my own so that I know what ingredients are going into it.

  • We have a local guy who sells it already crystallized and still fresh from the hive. It's divine!
  • I hope you've recovered since then. Take care
  • Vitamix is definitely one of the better ones out there.  I can't manage to kill mine, and that says a lot by itself.
  • It sounds like you have been having fun :) I love rock climbing.
  • There are a bunch of threads around here on blenders. You'll want something that can handle anything you throw at it (well, technically you would be throwing into it).
  • Spiralizers are really fun but probably unnecessary. A good blender though...that is a life saver. I went through a few cheap ones (and killed the motor on each in a year or less) before settling on a higher end model.
  • I think skin goes through a change when your body is clearing out all of those toxins. Mine cleared up after about a month, but it was just bad enough to irk me while it lasted.
  • Hello and welcome! It's great to have another long-term vegetarian here. I hope you let us know how your new goals are going! I've always wondered about gluten, but I don't eat much of it these days, so I haven't had to wonder too much.

  • Hi Kim  Welcome to the community.  I have the recipes app. I think it makes everything really convenient. No complaints here!

  • I love your videos!  I think a lot of people find the transition a little rough. I baby-stepped my way in, so I came through without too many problems.
  •  I think it's okay to replace it with agave, dates, or something else depending on the type of recipe.

  • What does it smell like? Could be sediment...or mold.
  • How is the weight loss going? Any change?

  • That must have been scary! Garlic can act as a blood thinner, so I'd definitely keep the concentrate out of his reach. I hope he is feeling better.

  • Hi Paul. Welcome to the community! Maybe you can start with a single-fruit juice and then add the other ingredients to be blended? It is best to have some sort of liquid in there to start if you don't want to burn out the blender motor (something I…

  • Welcome! I know a lot of people just eat what they want on a raw vegan diet and manage to find the weight they feel good at.  In general, if you want to lose significant weight eating anything, you have to count calories. However....if you restric…

  • You'll make it through :) Have you looked into wwoofing? There are probably some nice farm opportunities on there.  http://www.wwoof.org.uk/
  • Ooo. What are they like fresh? I've only ever seen the things already dried or in a can.
