  • Welcome!  That sounds like a good plan.  Don't forget to add some healthy snacks into the mix, otherwise the unhealthy ones will try to find their way in.
  • I'm curious too. I'm usually pretty good with Google, but all I could find were curry recipes that started out with raw jackfruit and ended as something else entirely.

  • Welcome! Are you getting enough calories for your lifestyle? If you're active with a high metabolism, even 2,500 might not be enough.
  • It's probably rotten or about to be  I've seen this topic come up before: https://www.therawtarian.com/community/f/discussion/1962/purple-coconut The consensus seemed to be that purple wasn't a good sign.
  • I'm still running with Wii Sports. I'm a nerd at heart.

  • We use an under-sink reverse osmosis system at our house. It does the job. I'm really sensitive to tap water and it gives me a sore throat even with a Brita filter, so reverse osmosis has become the key.

  • Hi :)   Why did you start eating raw foods mainly/only? I was going through a time of utter exhaustion and someone at work suggested it might be because of my obsession with kettle chips and fried foods in general. I was pretty sure they were wro…
  • I would say everything in moderation. Cruciferous vegetables are meant to be estrogen blocking, so they may balance out any estrogen producing foods in a diet with variety.

  • I like the idea of a raw cake among the rest.
  • It's only been a couple of weeks.  Have you been measuring your waist? Sometimes it's a more accurate indicator.
  • You're doing pretty good.  Do your current meals and beverages weigh more than your old ones? Even if they are less calories and not adding any fat, they will still show up on the scale as weight while the food is sitting in your stomach. I know wa…
  • Hi, John. What do you eat?
  • What is the BBQ sauce made from? I wonder if it would taste good on kale chips.
  • Has anyone found the perfect balance of moisture? I'm either a little too oily or a little too dry. I prefer the latter if I have to choose between the two, but I'm worried that dry skin will turn into wrinkles in the long run.

  • Where do you get the refurbished ones? Are they offered through the company?
  • You might be right about it still being raw. Even dehydrators have some heat. Let me know how your experiments go!
  • I'm not sure but it's a really interesting concept. Would it lightly steam the vegetables?
  • I think it takes the body a couple of weeks to adjust before weight starts coming off. That has always been the case with me. And of course, weight loss only happens if you're burning more calories than you are eating. It's easier on a raw vegan di…

  • What do you do about garden pests? That has always been my biggest hurdle with keeping 100% organic. It's all fun and games until half the garden gets eaten before harvest!
  • Now that is a tough one. It has a nutty and cheesy flavor, so maybe a combination of pulverized nuts and seasoning?

  • Really thick gloves for harvesting! I have only ever baked them into foods. The stinging part scares me too much to have ventured into trying them raw, but I would love to hear if anyone else has had success.

  • Could it be from what was dehydrated in it before? When I had a used dehydrator I had to get out the screwdriver and clean everything, even below the vents.

  • I like the Rawtarian raw cleanse. Everything is scrumptious. There is a reason I keep coming back. :)

  • I think I might have to live in this thread. I am absolutely loving the suggestions. I've always liked the lighter version of chocolate too.
  • Does it leave anything at all behind in the water? I was always led to believe that some of the naturally occurring minerals were good for you.
  • My vote is for the Magic Bullet too. I bought an antique looking hand grinder instead once, used it about twice (it took a good solid 5 minutes each time to grind about a spoonful of seeds), and then decided it looked nice in the window. I haven't u…
