  • That is great to hear choctastic. I used to get (minor) physical signs I was just about to start my cycle… and in 2000, when I drank 64 oz of water a day, they went away.
  • There is one in Tampa – Grass Roots! It’s great… we’ve been there. http://www.thegrassrootlife.com/
  • Yes… Negative Ions! Near bodies of water and on mountains… (which btw, I thought it was interesting that Jesus met crowds of people near these places… I should go back figure find out all the related texts). And, there are negative ions after (and p…

  • Hehe, well I'll have to try the cucumber-celery juice. The grape feast... is ONLY grapes (preferably organic) and it could be grape juice, grapes, or raisins. According to the book, eat only 1 to 4 lbs a day, nothing more, nothing less (the book exp…
  • I second, salt water flush. (I usually take 2 qts of the saltwater mixture (mostly water w/ several teaspons salt water) first thing in the morning when the pyloric valve is open. Sometimes, I add a colon cleanser (grape juice with psyllium seed hus…
  • This is an interesting one. I actually went to a mission where they did a “full body” detox… and nothing invasive. WaHoo! It was basically, salt water flushes and psyllium & liquid bentonite colon cleanses… followed by a tea blood cleanser. All …
  • justagirl: Green Smoothies! The way to go. Any greens with your favorite fruit. About 2 cups water and 6 cups greens with 2 fruits (about 1 cup fruit). You drink half of it in one day… the rest keeps for 3-4 days. List of some greens: arugula, aspa…
  • Mache (lamb’s lettuce) is nice. Arugula is great too… as is kale, spinach, and collard greens.
  • topcat, Did you flush after the salt water and THEN take the bentonite? I have used grape juice for the bentonite (but mixed with psyllium seed husk). This concoction is the “colon cleanse”. So, the day after colon cleanses, I did a salt water flush…
  • Are you using teflex sheets? I recommend not using them; they have teflon. Try using unbleached parchment paper. I find that I dehydrate for about 2/3 the time when compared to using the teflex… and I never have to flip anything around. Also, how t…
  • Irish Moss: Go to http://goneraw.com/forums/2/topics/1509 and Lucy has a post on where to buy it. That post mentions Cere Gel. It is said to do the same thing… if only someone can tell me what it is and where to find it.

  • Isn’t irish moss a thickening agent? I use agar for a raw pie, but agar is not living… I don’t think. Plus, it needs boiling water to thicken… so, I sometimes wait until it cools again to mix with the rest of the raw living ingredients.

  • Thank you for the advice. Greens… oh, that is SO EASY. I’ve been focusing on fat lately… so, I’ll do more research about greens & the heart. I have one more week to prepare a program. And scientific is good… due to the kind of audience I will li…
  • Yes, elizabethh… I have the same thoughts. I just wanted to find ingredients that ‘affect’ the heart in a good way.
  • Well, I heard that you can remove a pen/ink stain from leather by using hairspray. I can’t say the same is true for jeans though.

  • Yes, it’s necessary to soak to remove enzyme inhibitors. Germinating causes the food to change from dormant to alive… and its nutrients increase. Some nuts higher in fat than protein can change to higher in protein than fat after germinating. Typica…
  • Try a young thai coconut… that’s soft meat you can scoop out! Plus, it has the coconut water. For the mature coconuts are tough scrape the meat out… I use a knife to cut it out or a potato peeler… and I find a lot of time!
  • Cabelas is another good brand. Basically, you want the fan on the side like Excalibur and Capela… since they will dry more evenly and you won’t have to move trays around. And, of course, the thermostat should be adjustable below 120… even down to 95…

  • Hi RawVoice… yeah, we are thinking of doing the same thing. But, we were wondering if we will be able to eat ALL that food! :o) My friend’s co-worker got a mini-share, and couldn’t finish it all for 2 people; one vegetarian. Maybe my husband and I c…
  • Satchy: Technically YES… but what do the mandatory pasteurization ‘regulations’ say about what temperature is required for pasteurizing?
  • I don’t believe all the produce is irradiated! I’ve seen produce go bad and moldy at TJ’s… and irradiated food wouldn’t go bad… at least not while it’s in the store… I’m sure they sell produce pretty ‘quicklky’. Plus,(from what we understand) it can…
  • That is a good question considering aI bought a big jar and only need a few tablespoons at a time. I used nutritional yeast for a dressing and also for a curry (I think). I don’t know what else to use it for. What did it taste like in your juice?
  • We own a Kirby that really sucks! (in a good way) Though, it’s a pain to vacuum with it because of its weight. But, I’m glad I don’t have to vacuum… my husband does.
  • Yes, Hippie Chick… you shouldn’t have the same greens every day for 3+ months… well, that’s what V. Boutenko says in Green for Life. According to her, greens have a toxin that adds up slowly and in 3 months you’ll see the effects of the toxins. So v…
  • Correct, ezequiel bread is not raw, neither is tofutti. Here’s a link on heartburn: http://goneraw.com/forums/3/topics/996 (there may be more and more informative ones) But, in that forum, someone mentions Boutenko’s green smoothies. We are actuall…
  • Maybe this is not going to be helpful… but, how about just eating 2 meals a day. Have a big raw breakfast, work through lunch… and leave for home after 8 hours…. and have your lunch/dinner. Since I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, making 3 meals …

  • (I haven’t read all the posts, but) If you’re eating all that fiber… it’s probably a good idea to drink plenty of water too.
  • Indeed an interesting topic. Zoe, I don’t understand how the mouth can absorb enzymes… especially, since the amylase enzyme is secreted by the mouth. I don’t remember what book I was reading, but it was probably Dr. Veith or Dr. Howell… whoever it w…
  • Wow, I’m giving up cocoa for 2 weeks to see what happens. I do have good health (no-anxiety symptoms) days… but I never noticed if cocoa had anything to do with it. I have a strong sweet tooth… hope I can make it! :o) Thanks ALL!
  • Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not posted this here… I may have once, but I deleted the post! I have the exact same symptoms! I have trouble catching my breath…. and some days I yawn constantly… I seem to do this to catch my breathe, and 1…
