  • My biggest idea is just purchasing the proper equipment. I am researching the best right now and price is not an problem as long as it is quality. The ease of use is worth it, i think.
  • when they talk about white foods being unhealthy, i think that has to do with a standard american cooked diet mindset. Most white foods in the SAD diet are processed bleached wheat products with little nutrution left. So, they give a general prescri…

  • i like a nori kale dulse wrap. I put the kale or other strong tasting veggie like collard greens into the nori roll and top with strips of dulse to taste. wrap it into a roll. So delicious- got this from a rawfooder but the couple also put in avocad…
  • Thank you, queen fluff. I’ll try that too! :)
  • Hmmm! I’ve never thought of marinating potatoes for 15 minutes! Does that take out the starch? I can use lemons or apple cider vinegar? I’ve tried to make raw potato chips in the past but i always coated them in lemon and while they came out crispy,…
  • Do you mean you won’t even use raw sea salt? Salt is healthy for you. The salt that is bad for you is the cooked version full of chemicals. Salt doesn’t raise your blood pressure or whatever in it’s raw state, i think. Maybe it could, if you are sev…
  • I like the “source” idea the original poster had. They do that on yahoo answers. When you answer a question they have a source box where you can optionally list your sources. I think it keeps people honest plus people can do some research of their o…

  • I find that the coconut added to the ice cream makes it more creamy and prevents it from turning to ice. You can make ice cream out of cashews(or preferred nut/seed), coconut oil (or young coconut meat or coconut milk made from old coconuts- i’ve tr…
  • Thank you. I will contact Frontier. :) I will post the response, for others, in this thread.

  • Achin, a lot of dark agave is cooked. I know that sunfood sells some cooked agave. I was suprised when i read that some of the agave on sunfoods site was processed at 140 degrees. But, it may be different now. The clear agave seems more raw, to me, …
  • Hi Makeda13! :) Thank you for your research! :) However, there are other things to consider, i think. Free speech means that people can talk about what they consider to be their truths, i think. The people at Volcanic nectar did not conceal themselv…
  • Brenilou, very true. Now I understand what you mean. Raw agave is not “chemically converted fructose” like the article says, however. Raw agave is the gel of the cactus core dehydrated into a thick syrup. It’s very simple. I, of course, agree that s…
  • The thing to always consider, I think, is that all foods have a cooked and raw version, I think. All things start off as raw. In the processing, sometimes it is cooked. So, it is important to make sure one gets the actual raw version. Some agave is …
  • Go for it! :) As long as they taste good! :) If they’ve sprouted, that means they are more digestible, too.

  • Is raw organic apple cider vinegar a good substitute for balsalmic vinegar? They’re both vinegars. I buy the Paul Bragg one, it’s usually available in most health food stores.
  • Thank you so much! I’m getting the benriner! I bought the spiralizer and sold it. This looks a lot easier to use! I’m willing to pay more for a quality machine. :)
  • That’s why I recommend filtering the water, it eliminates industrial pollutants from the rain water. I have learned more and will be editing my post soon.

  • I second Rawmama. Raw organic Coconut oil is the exact same texture as butter at room temperature. You have to melt the coconut oil just like you would the butter. The mouth feel is the same and if you buy raw and organic it barely tastes like cocon…
  • I found some sites for ultimate raw foods cacao powder and yes, it uses the same advertising words as David Wolfe and www.naturalzing.com use which tells me that they buy this and repackage it.
  • Rawmama, could you put the link to the web site you want to buy the ultimate raw foods cacao powder from? I think it may be the same that DW sells. A lot of times different companies buy and repackage the same product under their own name.
  • I have both as well. I think the Navitas is good, but the other one has a sweeter taste. I bought mine at www.naturalzing.com as it’s cheaper. I think DW’s and their’s are from the same company. However Navitas is half the price on amazon and almost…

  • Like cooked food, the way they process oil probably makes it polluting. I don’t think there is anything wrong with oil, although it is in very short supply. Anything can be made toxic if used in the wrong way.
