  • Hello, I like to make a smoothie using about a handful of strawberries, 2 bananas, 2 handfuls of spinach, pinch sea salt, 1-2 tsp cacao. I don’t find it too sweet but everyone has a different taste. I might add in some blueberries too.
  • My tummy goes topsy turvy if I don’t keep it simple and food combine. smoothies are ok, if I have a salad I usually have to leave it a few hours before eating fruit again. And, NOT eating fruit after something dry and concentrated like nut or seed b…
  • I can’t stand it! Far too sickly sweet for me although there are many benefits to it.
  • I don’t eat at restaurants but if I was going to one, I would sneak in some raw food staples like a good salad dressing or sauce, avocado and olives. maybe some buckwheat flat bread.
  • ‘The Power of Now’ is excellent by Eckhart Tolle.

  • Parsnips are kind of rice like when grated and you could add a nice dressing. I also like to soak barley overnight. The couscous ideas are good using cauliflower.
  • I’m practising eating when I’m truly hungry and that can be a long time for me. I think it just depends on your metabolism, time of year and what you ate the day before. http://www.rawlifestyle.co.uk Recipes, ebooks, diary
  • Cacao nibs don’t have caffeine but theobromine, a sister of caffeine. Cacao is quite stimulating nonetheless, a real superfood, keeps me up all night if I take it too late in the day, great early in the day to keep you going. It also seems to fire o…
  • Hi, I have an infrared sauna and I love it. We converted a cupboard into one and it is so great in cold damp weather which we get quite a lot of here in the UK.

  • Sure, just freeze the crust and use the portion you want. Fill it with fresh fruits and custard.
  • Going raw is a process, you are undoing thousands of years of eating cooked food. Try not to be so judgmental on yourself. To allow healing, you must love yourself and embrace the fluctuations of being able to stay raw or eat cooked. It’s not an exa…
  • It all depends on how you’re doing raw. If you eat fruit and salads you will feel cooler. I use ayurveda principle to balance my dosha that help with keeping my system warm. Some types are hot, some are cold. If you are cold type, you need to almost…

  • Hi kminty, I love to massage kale with a pinch sea salt and a tablespoon olive oil. Sometimes I add crushed garlic and cayenne. It’s such a great snack and I love the crunch!
  • Funny how we’re so fascinated by what other people eat!! I started with lemon water, ginger, msm and honey drink Then, I had a strawberry/banana smoothie with cacao, bee pollen and spinach confetti salad with beetroot, carrot, zucchini, tomato and o…
  • I do not eat nuts anymore because they are very fatty and mucus forming. However, I still include small amounts of seeds such as flax, hemp, sesame, sunflower and pumpkin. I think seeds have greater nutritional value with all the omega 3s and they a…

  • Phill, my partner works out and has put on a stone in the last 5 months. He takes super cookies before a workout and then has a super smoothie after a workout, it seems to work as he is putting on muscle and bulk. He uses bee pollen, pumpkin seeds, …
  • Depending on how long raw you’ve been, you may be of low weight for the first year or so during detox. My partner has been putting quite a bit of weight through working out. He doesn’t eat alot of fat, about 10%. It’s the demand on the muscles to gr…

  • Hello, sorry to hear you’re in pain, I had this once and made up juices using cranberries and just other veggies with garlic. Lots of herbal teas such as pau d’arco and chamomile are good to flush out the tract. Both these teas are anti-bacterial an…
  • sprouting and soaking activates the enzymes making nuts and seeds more digestable and ‘live’. They are like seeds that are dormant, yet raw, but when soaked become activated. Hope this helps. You are still eating raw seeds and nuts when you don’t so…
  • You could use zucchini as the main ingredient and add about a tablespoon of soaked sunflower seeds or pine nuts. Also, avocado or olive oil will make it creamier.

  • I would make a delicious green smoothie with super foods like maca, cacao and goji berries in it. Adding a little coconut butter makes it more filling or ground pumpkin seeds. This would be a good start to the day and is highly nutritious.
  • Yes, it helps to cover as much ground as possible in getting minerals and vitamins. Supplmenting with seaweeds especially dulse, kelp and using superfoods may help. Reduce salt as this leads alot to cold hands and feet. And, exercise at least twice …
