  • not my type of thing at all. the only cleanse i would consider is a juice feast.
  • just bought green for life, so not too much inspiration from her yet. however i was very inspired by angela stokes who was inspired by victoria, so via one degree separation, i was very inspired by her!
  • make chocolate pudding… yum make ice cream and freeze… yum make double or triple batch of spicy tortilla… eat avocados with salt & lemon, or plain (my favorite way… most of mine don’t last long enough to be in a recipe!)
  • 936 calories! i’ve only done one session, loved it, and promptly never went back. i belong to a gym, which i haven’t been to in two or three weeks (i was out of town for at least one of those weeks.) but yeah, all that running/calisthenics will help…
  • grapefruit & orange peel are not delicious in juice.
  • bummer! that depends on the recipe, like in most smoothies you can just leave them out, you can try subbing mango or papaya in some things as well.
  • food processor is a big time saver, in my opinion. you may prefer an 80% diet, so that you can eat what suits you when you go out with your friends.
  • quart sized mason jar. doesn’t have a straw though.
  • well, but if you use the pulp, it doesn’t end up so expensive…
  • ani phyo’s scrambles? look her up on you tube, she makes a raw version of scrambled eggs (sunflower seed & almond base) which she mixes up with various things.
  • food intake typically decreases with time, but it depends on the individual. that doesn’t look like it was all that expensive though? i mean, i get ten pounds of oranges for $3, organic bananas for around $1.20 a pound, heads of spinach and celery f…
  • it’s definitely different for every person. but i would say you will notice some big changes in the first month.
  • i love cucumbers, tomatoes and mushrooms, but can’t deal with raw eggplant (i did like it cooked) durian (i can almost like it, but can’t get past that smell either) or aloe. just got some aloe and tried to eat it. could NOT deal! soo slimy and weir…
  • eat lots of greeeeeens!
  • same, i was google searching something, probably some kind of recipe, and i got stuck here.
  • thanks madjeanne, that looks good! anyone else?
  • how long have you been eating this way? when i first made the change to raw, i got some stomach upset too, and then it got better. i would say your food list looks fairly complicated. also, i don’t react well to sprouted grains (except buckwheat, af…
  • there are lots. search for meal plan in the forums, but look at this one: http://www.goneraw.com/forums/3/topics/4
  • there is already a thread on this… have to find it…
  • yes, make smoothies. i recommend getting a nut milk bag, so you can use nut milk in your smoothies. if you don’t have a nutmilk mag, macadamias, cashews and hempseeds all blend pretty well without needing to be strained. blend with bananas and froze…
  • i don’t like sprouted grains, unless they are blended into a recipe, and ususally dehydrated. i recommend my sushi recipe, it works for me. also bananas with almond butter, or creamy shake like banana smoothies. you can also buy raw bread or order i…
  • i know a guy who gets calcium deposits, and he has to avoid foods with lots of calcium! i don’t have much info for you other than that, sorry.

  • i was going to suggest the cauliflower, but since it has been suggested already, i will tell you what i tell everyone about starch cravings: 1) eat bananas 2) try my sushi recipe (go to my profile to find it)
  • that mushroom marinade is great… but yes, i would say you need to use it within a day or two at the most. lots of raw foodists use those ingredients and have great success… it’s just a matter of what works for you. you can still use them and call yo…
  • just don’t be too alarmed if you swing the other way… like all of a sudden you need twelve bananas… that’s ok too.
  • great topic! i know a few plants but i would really like to know more… i especially would like a book or class about plants in san francisco/bay area. i know there are several SF people who dwell on these forums… anybody here take nettles from golde…

  • i definitely can’t sleep when i have alot of cacao (just a little is OK.)
  • cacao give me a CRAZY HIGH! i feel like i can DO ANYTHING! i want to RUN! no, wait, i want to CLEAN! no, that’s too tedious, i want to DANCE! then a few hours later, i feel a little strung out. i don’t get this exact reaction from coffee, but someti…
  • i’m pretty sure those are mostly raw, although you should check the ingredients… some will have added sugars and other yuckiness.
  • yes, it’s a pumpkin. smaller ones are usually more delicious though.
