  • Yep! Bean sprouts, high consumption of leafy greens and of course soaked raw nuts and seeds. I personally am not completely raw because I eat tofu. If you are not looking to go 100%,tofu is a good source. Check this out as well http://iml.jou.ufl.ed…

  • Hmmm I’m not sure that blue green algae has a lot of protein. I do know it has the B-12 vitamin, so that is a good thing. I believe the reason that you thought that the algae had protein because it is sometimes mixed with some kind of isolated prote…

  • Right on brother ! :)
  • eat a higher dose of greens like romaine lettuce, collards, spinach. When people hear greens they think no protein, low carbs, and trace amounts of fat. But the key is the quantity! A head of lettuce surprisingly has more protein than you think. Blend…

  • Hey you should create a logo that leads directly to the site when clicked on, so that we can promote Gone Raw on our websites and Myspaces. Just a thought :)
  • Welcome, and if you have any recipes make sure to share! :)
  • what a dehydrater does is circulate warm air on your food. Here is the rule with raw food. Anything fruit or veg that is placed in an environment over 118 degrees is not raw. It is at 118 degrees where our foods enzymes begin to break down. I myself…

  • its a a matter of preference. Raw meat, fish, and any type of wine is raw and you can decide is you want to include it. Now as for hot teas, coffe, and unsweetened cocoa powder, they are not raw. Coffe beans are of course roasted and so are the cacao…
  • hahah yeah my grocery bill is up near the $80s and $100s too trinity, so I feel your pain. Time to start the growing stuff and turn that tiny garden I have in my back yard into rain forest :) The prices do totally suck!
  • Hey your not the first to have that! :) Its good stuff. Sweet and savory at the same time. Kiwi can either be nice or very mean. The key to eating kiwi is to only eat them when they are very soft to the touch. If you eat a hard or very firm one you’…

  • Never soak almonds with other nuts. Thats all you have to remember.
  • Yeah this one can be tough at times. I would say just eat some food before you go out, and then have a salad at the restaurant. If the restaurant has avos, just ask them to put some in your salad. Try some squeezed lemon juice or squeezed orange wit…
  • I dont really like to take much time preparing food for myself because I am either busy with school or just because I’m just plain lazy. I really dont really have a meal plan, but I do know that I eat every 3-5 hrs. It is quite common for me to eat …
