  • Oh dear, now I’m really confused! :0) But Nyuszi, thanks for the little lesson. ;0) Sounds great! I’ve heard some people do it 2-3 times a day, but that sounds like a lot of rigga-maroll to me, too much time wasted in my opinion.

  • I do the vitamin E thing sometimes. But I’ll probably try it again. Where I live we have lots of barbed wire fences and I have a little habit of running into them, accidentally of course. :0) That MSM lotion sounds interesting. I’ve heard of it. But…
  • That all sounds so great. Thanks greenie, for the lesson. :) Good to know your method. I think I will check out the paint strainer thing or else make my own.

  • Thanks! You all are so helpful, not only that, you just saved me money!
  • Greenie, did you get it a Lucky Duck? Do you only have to squeeze it once?
  • Renoir, how big are the holes in your sieve? Is it like micro-small? ...Maybe if I made one of nylon it would be better than cheesecloth? I really want to have a silky smooth drink and I’ve been using a sieve lately and I guess if I strained it a mi…
  • I can’t imagine the bag giving it a funny taste. I wonder if that nuts you used were rancid or something. Thanks for the feedback. I think I’ll make one myself with nylon or cheesecloth.
  • Since then, I’ve bought Carol Alt’s books and Ani Phyo’s and I love all three. I can easily skip anyting in Carol’s book that isn’t vegan if I want, and I love her recipes and her open way of writing.

  • From what I read she just has a few recipes like that. The rest is supposed to be really good.

  • Thanks for the feedback. Would you guys reccomend that Ali (Asian) woman’s book more? I forget her last name. With Carol Alt aren’t most of her recipes all raw in the book though?

  • Oh, and the first book is called “Eating in the Raw” And the second is “The Raw 50”.

  • I don’t follow food combining strictly at all, but I’m trying to a little more lately. Natalia Rose’s book was helpful, not so complicated as other food combining rules I’ve heard. Try reading her book. I reccomend it.

  • For B12, they say even letting your organic produce not being washed very well (the very little bit of dirt in your lettuce or whatever) will give you B12. And nutritional yeast has B12 to my knowledge. And besides that, nutritional experts say that…
  • Renata, sorry I didn’t reply. I was gone for a couple weeks and didn’t see it. I think babies, depending on age, would just love it from the spoon. It’s got such a creamy, soft texture, like baby food really. My family doesn’t even understand how I…

  • I don’t know much about babies eating smoothies and fruits at eight months, but one thing I wanted to point out is that most certainly the acidic fruits that are too strong for their little mouths (pinapple, kiwi, citrus). Just to keep in mind if yo…

  • Your food is in the Vita-Mix for a just a moment, really. I don’t think it matters at all. Besides, do you realize that nickel (the blades are nickel) is a trace mineral that needs to be present in our bodies?? Just like when some people use cast ir…
  • That’s awesome! I think it’s great to keep the green smoothie thing vibed up and keep on getting great tasting recipes. You all are so helpful!
  • Thanks guys! You all are so supportive!
  • Thanks loads and loads! You guys are so helpful! Not just that, but very inspiring!
  • KatyUK, have you read Natalia Rose’s book “The Raw food detox diet”? Because near the beginning of the book is a great and much, much easier food combining rules and chart. Tonight I’m going to copy out that part of the book so I can learn to combin…

  • I’ve read that banana peels taped on overnight could help?? I’ve never tried it so I don’t know. My brother had a wart on his finger and he cut up garlic and taped it around his finger every night and it just vanished!

  • I LOVE THIS SITE!!! I’m the only one in my family who is quite fanatical (not 100% though) about raw so it’s so awesome having this support and encouragment. Thank you tons!

  • Ok, my PH balance last time I checked was 6.1 after two weeks on raw. I don’t really get this because after two weeks I would expect my body to be more alkaline, but it seemed very similar to before. I eat lots of greens, I know I should eat more, b…
